Dyna

Manufactured in Japan and popular around the Pacific Rim for its toughness and surprising strength, the Dyna remains one of the most popular brands in its class. Built For the Toughest Jobs Toyota designed the Dyna to travel into and work within some of the most demanding environments in the world, Australia, East Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Used for haulage and other work, sometimes in remote and dangerous locations, the Dyna can traverse difficult roads and fit into smaller spaces with its cab over design than other similar trucks.

Another concession to conditions lies in the Dyna’s reputation for easy repair. Out in the wild, one has a hard time finding a mechanic or a part. Toyota builds these vehicles for ease of roadside or quick fixes. The Dyna also allows 16,700 km between oil changes and main servicing only every 33,000km.

Design Features

Unlike European and American versions in the same class, the Dyna emphasises simplicity, agility, strength, and reliability. Dynas generally feature three wheelbase lengths, short, medium, and long. Shorter vehicles generally are used as tippers or box trucks while the longest allow for high volume and low-density loads. Door to door package delivery services have often used the larger Dynas. The 2005 version featured a three way body with the ability to tip to the rear at a 50 degree angle and to the sides at a 45 degree tilt. This considerably expanded the already versatile vehicle. In 2007, Toyota boosted the Dyna’s power, moving from a 2.5-liter D-4D engine to a 3.0-litre D-4D, significantly increasing both power and torque without sacrificing fuel efficiency.

Features are light on the non-nonsense versions of the Dyna constructed before 2010, confirming its reputation as a stripped-down worker for difficult conditions. They offered cloth seats, AM/FM stereo, and, after 2004, a CD player. Also, not every model comes standard with an air conditioner. For safety, many versions during this period also incorporated an engine stopped anti-theft device.

Toyoace

Since 1995, the Toyoace has merged with the Dyna line. Prior to this point it complemented the Dyna as a lighter commercial vehicle. Toyoaces share most features with Dynas but were offered through different sales chains and channels than the Dyna. Both vehicles also fully reflect Toyota’s commitment to building the most durable and reliable vehicles, including commercial trucks. The most recent versions of both trucks offer a hybrid drive system that considerably reduces both emissions and also fuel use.

Landcruiser

We also offer a selection of durable and rugged Landcruisers. The 2003 version, for example, is most at home off of the road. Built for difficult environments and tough terrain, the Landcruiser is Toyota’s go anywhere vehicle. With a total seating capacity of eight or expansive room for materials or other purposes, the Landcruiser can serve as a contractor vehicle, first response truck, or other purposes. It also includes a 4.7 litre 235 horse-power gasoline driven engine, as well as an automatic five speed transmission with overdrive option.
